It is necessary to verify your blogs in order to use Webmasters tools and for submitting sitemaps to Google. You can verify your site in easy steps. Here we go..
For Blogger blogs
When you do enter your site in Webmasters tools, it gives you three options to verify your site. By meta tag, by html file and by DNS record. Select verification by meta tag and copy the meta tag text. Now open your Blogger layout and select edit html tab. Now press Ctrl+f. There will appear a box, type in the box and press enter. Now paste the copied meta code before that highlighted . Thats it. Now click on verify site link in your Webmasters tools and your blog i verified.
For Wordpress self hosted blog
Do the same as mentioned above upto copying meta code. Now open your Wordpress admin panel and click on plugins and select add new. Now type “All in one Seo pack” in plugin search box. Install the plugin and activate it. Now click on settings tab in admin panel and open the settings of All in one Seo pack and paste the copied meta code in the box named as “Additional page headers” at the bottom and save the changes. Thats it. Now click on verify site in Webmasters tools and your blog is verified. After verifying the blog you may delete this plugin if you dont want to keep it.
