In this period of recession, most of the people are doing blogging to earn some money online. For this, people are trying hard and pplying the efforts to write more and more to increase their earnings. Usually the bloggers use Google Adsense to make their earnings. Many people complaints that they are not getting the exact output of their efforts and their earnings are very low. I have analyzed this complaint and have sorted out some common reason of low earnings of bloggers. I would like to share my observations and experience. I hope it will be greatly helpful for you.
1. Selection of incorrect Niche
The major and top reason behind the low earnings is the incorrect selection of the niche. Some new bloggers make a blog about a high paying keyword that they search from the so called “list of high paying keywords”. In my opinion, this is the way to get failed in online earning field. Selection of the topic should be very selective. Observe the trends and behavior of the people that what they want. High paying keywords does not work in every country. Make a topic according to your niche and write that much about the topic that your blog automatically attract the high paying ads. I have observed that the same keyword pays very high in some specific countries and in other countries, pays few cents. That’s all about the Niche. I will make it clear with an example. Suppose you have made a blog about tourism and there is no place for tourists and no one about tourism that is illing to pay much for their advertisements in your country then the ads displaying on your blog would very low paying and if you make a blog about mobiles and people are crazy about mobile phones in your country then there are obviously many advertisers in your country that would be willing to pay much on the advertising of their shops or services about mobile phones then you will get high earnings per click.
2. Wrong ads placement and optimization
The most important role in increasing the earnings is the right and proper placement of the ads. I can’t tell you the exact place for placing the ads on your blog as it depends upon the template style of your blog and many other things. But the placement that helped me to increase my CTR and earnings is one small horizontal Zanner at the top of the page and a wide skyscraper at the right side of the posts. You can try all the places to know the best place where you see that you are getting nice CTR and earnings. Placing too many ads on the page is not helpful in increasing the earnings. It creates a bad image on the visitors and the advertisers bid low to place their ads on your site and you get low earnings per click. There should be a balance in the number of ads displaying on you site. Less ads mean high bidding of the advertisers to place their ads on your site.
3. Low visitors or traffic Getting
a nice traffic on blogs is a great challenge for the bloggers and it needs a lot of efforts, experience, SEO and familiarity with increasing traffic methods like forums postings, social bookmarking, commenting on other similar blogs and creating backlinks. 4. Unfamiliarity with Search Engine Optimization
Most of the new bloggers have no awareness of SEO and its advantages and who knows some about SEO do not pay much attention to do it or they think that there is no need to do SEO and the search engine bots will automatically index their pages. SEO is very helpful to get the unique visitors that are the big source of earnings.
